Hi, my name is Leah and I am the creator of Tech Crew HQ!
With my company Inspired Productions, I have worked in many schools and organisations across NSW, Australia and seen the passion and drive that students in the technical and backstage crews have.
Sometimes student Tech Crews are self-taught.
Sometimes they have a mentor or other team member leading them.
I created Tech Crew HQ online courses to give everyone the opportunity to learn from industry professionals.
I have teamed up with industry professionals including Audio Operators, Lighting designers, Stage Managers and Event Managers to provide the most current knowledge and skills of our industry through Tech Crew HQ online courses.
Better yet, these skills and knowledge form the foundation of a career in technical live entertainment, theatre and the arts.
I have been in the live events industry for over 20 years, and worked in schools, concert halls, event centres, theatres and outdoor venues too. My true passion is inspiring the next generation of technical event professionals and equipping them with the best possible knowledge for:

- and career as a technical specialist in the theatre, arts and live events industry.

WHY TECH CREW HQ?

Tech Crew HQ was created on the basis that people love to express their creativity in many ways and that technical theatre brings together technology, art, expression, creativity and passion.
Schools, churches, colleges, and arts organisations have a backstage and technical theatre team who supports productions, however not everyone has access to the skills and knowledge required to enhance productions and ensure the team are learning safe practices. Over our years of working with schools and organisations on their events we have seen a gap between the incredible enthusiasm of crews and the technical event learning available to them- so we created Tech Crew HQ! Tech Crew HQ online courses provide easy to access for people to build their skills and knowledge across all aspects of backstage and technical production. |
